project #2: 3-dimensional still photography
Find some non-moving subjects to take photographs of. Still 3D pictures can be of anything inanimate: a car, toys, plants, food, furniture, landscapes, buildings, vases, etc.
Choose something you enjoy and then use it to become more comfortable with your aperture settings. Start by experimenting with depth of field. The 2-dimensional project prior to this one had a heavier focus on exposure, shutter speed and using the manual focus setting on your camera. Hopefully by now you are comfortable with those settings. For this project experiment with your aperture and pay close attention to the 3D elements of inanimate objects including shadows, reflections, depth of field, foreground and background.
